We are proud to announce our custom studio is completed and ready for season.
We have a 30 x 15 x 7m studio floorspace with direct 3 phase eskom power at 100 amps per phase with a custom distribution board negating the need of a generator for power.
There are office / wardrobe / catering and ablutions attached with walkthrough access to the main floor.
Ample parking for unit and an enclosed game holding area means that animals can be walked through the rear doors to directly in front of the hard psych wall with minimum disturbance to camera positions and crew.
We have large drains in the floor slabs to enable you to do rain sequences or water tank work without fear of flooding or electrocuting the crew!
There are cottages on the farm as well as many nearby B&B's, the Houw Hoek Hotel as well as the 6 star Arabella down the road for those not wanting to make the 1 hour drive from Cape Town.
So in addition to offering the usual farm, dam, river and bush locations that complement our animals, you can now build sets and shoot packshots right here on the farm!

Welcome to Union Pictures, a leading animal wrangling company servicing feature films and commercials, specializing in African wildlife, exotic wildlife and the full range of barnyard and domestic animals. From our base on a 140ha farm one hour from Cape Town, Union Pictures offers the film industry access to a wide range of animal as well as a location with a wide variety of options, from bush, 2 km of permanently flowing river frontage , old barns, cottages, dams, main house, green pastures etc
We are also instituting a volunteer program where people can stay on the farm and assist with the care, feeding and training of all the animals.
We have just completed a 30 m x 15 m studio with a psyche back wall with production space and ablutions attached in order to be able to offer up a full service, so you will have a weather cover set and are able to construct anything required in the studio, or shoot packs etc. We have 100 amps per phase with 3 phase power so a generator will not be needed. You are able to paint the backdrop any color needed as well.
The studio has been designed with animals in mind, so there are large doors on the sides that enable you to run animals across the background if needed.
We are members of both the Animal Keepers Association of Africa and Paazab.
